Alyssa's new doo

Alyssa got her hair cut last night. It's shorter then she originally planned because she decided to donate her hair to make wigs for children with cancer http://www.locksoflove.org/ I am so proud of her. Her Hair looks great she loves it.

Whats new with the girl's

Celeste is now weighing in at 10lb 14oz and she's 24 inches long. She got a few more shots and she took it much better this time cried for about 3 seconds then went back to being a happy nosey baby last time she cried all the way out to the recepton area and it took a lick or 2 from the cherry pop before she settled down enough to hear what the co pay was. She is eating baby fruit and we have even tried out a few veggies (nothing green). so far the only fruit she doesn't like is peaches I can tell because that is the only one that makes it back out of her mouth to her chin the rest she just inhales and then we get to argue the fact that she can't eat the whole jar just 1/2.

Alyssa is doing well in school she has joined chorus and band she will be playing clarinet. She has also decided to change her look this year she wants to get her hair cut short like Ophelia's (her cousin on the http://photos1.blogger.com/img/5/3889/640/HPIM0749.jpg Layna LeVau page. She also would like to dye it purple for halloween so I found a mousse at walmart that comes out after a few washes. Figured it would be better for her hair then the color sprays they just seem to get everywere and dry out her hair (we used that last year) She wants to be raven from teen titans I honestly believe it's just so she can have purple hair but hey how can I argue she's doing well in school she's happy and healthy if temp coloring in the hair is the only thing I have to worry about I think I can make the sacrifice. besides it's halloween and everyone's going to look a little wild

More Family Fun with The Howards

We met Rachelle and the Girls up at the lake house Friday nite. We got up there late to a power outage so it was real dark but wow what a beautiful night sky.
Saturerday morning the girls did some exploring by the lake and lake shell collecting. Alyssa made herself a fishing pole with found goods (branch fishing line and hook) tool her about an 1hr and a 1/2 but she caught herself a little fish around 6" long.
Afternoon we Headed out for The Great escape
Http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatescape/index.asp

What fun we went on lots of rides and even caught a few shows
Carn-Evil
A spooky Halloween-themed circus. Watch “Doc” Swan and his band of gypsies amaze guests with feats of fire eating, sword swallowing and numerous other talents. Meet Spiderella, a woman who contorts her body into unusual shapes. The Maniacal Mirth Makers will entertain audiences with pogo stilts and skull juggling, while Madame Zora displays her deadly slithering serpents.
Celeste loved the fire juggling. Victoria was a bit freaked by the guy shoving ice picks, nails and screw drivers up his noise. Alyssa thought the contortionist was neat as did Daimon (for totally different reasons I'm sure). We all liked the glass walk act
Monster Mash Show
Monsters dance to Halloween theme music in the Red Garter Saloon in Ghost Town.
Jessica and Abby really enjoyed this one. Abby did a lot of giggling while watching the show on my lap & Jessica showed off her fancy dancing moves with a big smile.
CANYON BLASTER Canyon Blaster, a family coaster that's got everyone rushing to The Great Escape. It's a runaway mine train that twists and turns through the gorges and gulches and gives you more of a rush than the gold fields ever could.
The Comet (listed below)

The younger children headed back to Robbie's parent's house with Aunt Bonnie ( robbie's sister) around 7:00pm. Rachelle, Victoria, Alyssa, Daimon, Celeste and I Stayed for some late night mistrif.
Daimon got Victoria's & Alyssa's faces painted they looked so cute. They amuzed them selves by stalking other people dressed in costumes (tapping them on the back then running) We had dinner at the park. then headed to Robbie's parents house for a good nights rest. In the Morning all the kids played, and got to see the Baby horse before we said our goodbyes and headed for home
