THE COMET Featured on MTV's Road Rules, Discovery Channel's Wild Rides II, and More Top Ten Coasters, it's rated as one of the top wooden coasters in the world! Re-engineered and reopened in May 1944 at Crystal Beach, Ontario as The Comet, it started out in life as the much feared Cyclone. The Comet was saved from the scrap heap, re-built and re-opened in 1994 at The Great Escape. Height 95 feet
